Preview: Wheeler Mustangs vs. Quanah Indians
Wheeler has been on the road for two straight, but on Friday they'll finally head home. They will take on the Quanah Indians at 8:00 p.m. on Friday. Wheeler will be strutting in after a victory while Quanah will be coming in after a defeat.
Even though Memphis scored an imposing 55 points on Tuesday, Wheeler still came out on top. Wheeler took down Memphis 69-55. Given Wheeler's advantage in MaxPreps' Texas basketball rankings (they are ranked 572nd, while Memphis is ranked 1308th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.
Meanwhile, after a string of five wins, Quanah's good fortune finally ran out on Tuesday. They took a 47-37 hit to the loss column at the hands of Wellington. Quanah has not had much luck with Wellington recently, as the team's come up short the last three times they've met.
Wheeler has been performing well recently as they've won six of their last eight games, which somehow isn't as good as their 16-5 record this season. As for Quanah, their loss ended a three-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 15-9.
