Softball Recap: USC-MAE Has No Trouble Against Downtown Magnets

Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask USC-MAE). They put the hurt on the Downtown Magnets Suns with a sharp 26-8 victory on Friday. Perhaps unsurprisingly given the team's high-flying offense, the game also marked the team's biggest win of the season.

The victory made it two in a row for USC-MAE and bumps their season record up to 3-1. Those wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 22.0 runs over those games. As for Downtown Magnets, their defeat was their tenth straight on the road dating back to last season, which dropped their record down to 0-4.

We've got plenty of inter-league action coming up soon. USC-MAE is set to take on their familiar foe Annenberg at 2:00 p.m. on Monday. Meanwhile, Downtown Magnets will square off against rival Animo Bunche at 2:30 p.m. on Monday.
