Baseball Recap: Andover Beats Mayo for Their Fourth Straight Win

Andover lost a heartbreaker the last time they played Mayo, but it's fair to say they got their revenge given the result of Saturday's game. The Huskies were the clear victors by an 11-3 margin over the Spartans on Saturday. That eight run margin sets a new team best for the Huskies this season.

Andover got a big performance out of Hunter Beske, who got on base in three of his four plate appearances with two runs and two RBI. Those two RBI gave Beske a new career-high. Jaxon Knutson was another key player, going 2-for-4 with two runs, one double, and one RBI.

The victory was the fourth in a row for Andover, bringing their record up to 5-1. The wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 7.0 runs over those games. As for Mayo, their loss dropped their record down to 4-2.

Andover didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next contest, a 5-0 victory against Robbinsdale Armstrong on the 22nd. As for Mayo, they also wasted no time getting back out on the field and have already played their next match, a 10-4 win against New Prague on the 21st.
