Basketball Recap: Jefferson Takes a Loss

Jefferson lost against Flat Rock back in January, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Monday. The Jefferson Bears lost to the Flat Rock Rams on the road by a 52-36 margin. While losing is never fun, the Bears can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Michigan basketball rankings (they are ranked 354th, while the Rams are ranked 134th).

Jefferson has also traveled a rocky road recently having lost five of their last six matches, which has put a noticeable dent in their 8-12 record this season. As for Flat Rock, they pushed their record up to 12-7 with the win, which was their third straight at home.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Jefferson will host Sand Creek at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday. As for Flat Rock, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Roosevelt at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday.
