Florence made up a huge gap compared to their last game against Ellison, but they still couldn't quite topple them. The Florence Buffaloes never let the Ellison Eagles get on the board and left with a 19-0 victory on Tuesday. The Buffaloes' hitters stepped up their game for this one, as that was the most runs they've scored all season.

Florence's win bumped their record up to 2-3. As for Ellison, they are on a nine-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-8.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Florence is packing up and heading out on the road for their first away game this season: they will take on Cedar Creek at 11:30 a.m. on Saturday. Ellison will have a little extra prep time after the defeat as they won't be playing again for a while. They'll take on Chaparral at 6:30 p.m. on March 20th.
