Football Recap: Seabreeze Takes a Loss

After flying high against Pine Ridge last Friday, Seabreeze came back down to earth. The Sandcrabs were outmatched by the Mainland Buccaneers and fell 41-6. The Sandcrabs were not able to make up for their loss to the Buccaneers from their previous meeting back in November of 2024.

When it comes to explaining why Seabreeze lost on Friday, don't look at JEREMIAS GEORGE. Despite the final result, he rushed for 82 yards and one TD.

Mainland got their victory on the backs of several key players, but it was Sebastian Johnson out in front who threw for 205 yards and three touchdowns while completing 85.7% of his passes. The dominant performance also gave Johnson a new career-high in passer rating (165.2). Chris Butler was another key player, picking up 108 receiving yards and a pair of scores.

Seabreeze's defeat dropped their record down to 5-5. As for Mainland, the win (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 7-2.

As of now, neither Seabreeze nor the Buccaneers have any future games scheduled.
