The biggest upset of the week belonged to St. Francis, who took down 975th ranked St. Francis, 50-33.
Soquel was the team that gained the most ground in the standings this week, jumping from third to first in Santa Cruz Coast. The Knights beat San Lorenzo Valley 56-24 earlier in the week.
The Sharks' Nick Ciandro and Nathaniel Ceballos have formed a dynamic duo this season, leading the league in both passing and receiving yards. Ciandro has thrown for 746 yards this season, while Ceballos, a 6-foot-0 receiver, has 32 catches for 606 yards. Alex Morris from Santa Cruz leads the league in rushing with 442 yards.
A big matchup in the league this week will be when Aptos takes on the Cougars. As it stands, the Mariners are in second, while San Lorenzo Valley is in third.
Scotts Valley took down Harbor 68-19 last week, the largest margin of any game.
