Softball Game Preview: Robinson Rockets vs. Gateway College Preparatory Gators

For the second straight game, Robinson will face off against Gateway College Preparatory. The Rockets will host the Gators at 5:00 p.m. on Friday. Robinson will be looking to extend their current ten-game winning streak.

Robinson is on a roll after a high-stakes playoff matchup on Thursday. They walked away with a 4-1 victory over Gateway College Preparatory.

Raelynn Van Zee spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered only one earned run on seven hits. She has been consistent: she hasn't tossed less than five strikeouts in five consecutive appearances.

At the plate, Robinson's win was truly a team effort as four different players contributed at least one hit. One of them was Reese Tate, who went 1-for-4 with one triple, two RBI, and one run. Isabelle Mathis was another, getting on base in three of her four plate appearances with one RBI.

Robinson's victory bumped their record up to 18-11. As for Gateway College Preparatory, their defeat ended a three-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 20-6.
