The Itasca Wampus Cats will face off against the Rio Vista Eagles at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. The timing is sure in Itasca's favor as the squad sits on ten straight wins at home (dating back to last season) while Rio Vista has been banged up by four consecutive losses on the road.

Itasca is headed into the matchup having just suffered their biggest defeat since February 6, 2024 on Friday. They were dealt an 80-46 loss at the hands of Meyer. While losing is never fun, the Wampus Cats can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Texas basketball rankings (they are ranked 639th, while the Ravens are ranked 255th).

Meanwhile, Rio Vista narrowly escaped with a win as the team sidled past Crawford 66-63.

The victory got Rio Vista back to even at 11-11. As for Itasca, their defeat dropped their record down to 16-9.
