Soccer Game Preview: Andrew vs. Lincoln-Way Central

The Andrew Thunderbolts will square off against the Lincoln-Way Central Knights at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. Both teams are still undefeated after four games, but that won't be the case come Thursday.

Andrew's defense heads into the matchup hoping to repeat the dominance they displayed on Tuesday. They came out on top against Oak Park-River Forest by a score of 2-0.

Emily Crotty and Paige Swaw scored both of Andrew's goals, bringing their combined season tally to seven goals.

Meanwhile, Lincoln-Way Central got the win against De La Salle on Tuesday by a conclusive 6-1.

Lincoln-Way Central's win bumped their record up to 4-0. As for Andrew, their victory bumped their record up to an identical 4-0.

Andrew was able to grind out a solid win over Lincoln-Way Central in their previous matchup back in May of 2024, winning 2-0. Will Andrew repeat their success, or does Lincoln-Way Central has a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
