Volleyball Recap: Lowell Comes Up Short in High-Profile Match with Mercy

Lowell faced Mercy in a battle between two of the state's top teams on Saturday. The Red Arrows fell just short of the Marlins by a score of 2-1. The Red Arrows have struggled against the Marlins recently, as the game was their fifth consecutive lost matchup.

Harper Schaedig paced Lowell's offense, picking up 12 kills. Schaedig got some help from Rylie Barriger and her 11 assists. Annalise Clark and Lily Eveland kept things locked in from the service line: the pair finished with two aces apiece.

Lowell's loss dropped their record down to 14-5-1. As for Mercy, they are on a roll lately: they've won nine of their last ten matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 14-2 record this season.

Lowell has already played their next match, a 3-0 victory against Kenowa Hills on the 23rd. As for Mercy, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 3-0 win against St. Ursula Academy on the 24th.
