Volleyball Recap: South Brunswick Starts Season with Win Against West Brunswick

South Brunswick had to travel to play their first game of the season, but the final result was worth the trip. They came out on top against the West Brunswick Trojans by a score of 3-1 on Tuesday. The Cougars haven't had any issues with the Trojans recently, as the game was their third consecutive victory against them.

South Brunswick had a slow start but a hot finish: after dropping the first set, they turned around to win the next three. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 19-25, 25-12, 25-20, 25-20.

Among those leading the charge was Faye (Malin) Miller, who had nine digs and one assist.

South Brunswick was lethal from the service line and finished the game with 21 aces. That's the most aces they've posted since back in September of 2024.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. South Brunswick will square off against South Central at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for West Brunswick, they will welcome South Columbus at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday.
