Los Amigos snaps five-game streak of wins on the road

Recap: Los Amigos Lobos vs. Rancho Alamitos Vaqueros

It was a good run, but the Los Amigos Lobos unfortunately witnessed the end of their seven-game winning streak on Wednesday. They were just a bucket shy of victory and fell 60-59 to Rancho Alamitos. Despite running the score up even higher than they did in their prior game last Monday (55), Los Amigos still had to take the loss.

Rancho Alamitos was led to victory by Luis Rico and Henry Phan. Rico went 7 for 12 from beyond the arc en route to 21 points and 0 assists, while Phan scored 22 points along with nine assists and five rebounds. That's the first time this season that Phan posted eight or more assists. Another player making a difference was PJ Cordova, who scored six points along with two steals.

Los Amigos' loss ended a five-game streak of away wins and brought them to 15-8. As for Rancho Alamitos, they are on a roll lately: they've won four of their last five matchups, which provided a massive bump to their 15-10 record this season.

Coincidentally, the two teams will both be playing Bolsa Grande the next time they take the court. Rancho Alamitos will head out to face Bolsa Grande at 6:00 p.m. on Friday, while Los Amigos will host them at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
