Softball Recap: Dodd City Takes a Loss

The Dodd City Hornets lost 9-2 to the Detroit Eagles on Saturday.

Kailen Kavanaugh was cooking despite her team's loss, going 1-for-2 with one home run and two RBI.

Dodd City's defeat dropped their record down to 0-2. As for Detroit, their win ended a four-game drought at home dating back to last season and bumped them up to 2-1.

Coming up, Dodd City will face off against Collinsville at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Detroit, they will challenge Non Varsity Opponent at 12:00 p.m. on Saturday.
