Baseball Recap: Madawaska Owls vs. Central Aroostook Panthers
Madawaska had to travel to play their first game of the season, but the final result was worth the trip. They blew past the Central Aroostook Panthers 15-7. That result was just more of the same for these two, as Madawaska also won the last time the pair played back in May of 2023.
Nick Poitras and Alex Querze did most of the damage at the plate: Poitras scored a run and stole four bases while going 3-for-4, while Querze scored three runs and stole five bases while getting on base in three of his five plate appearances. Central Aroostook dropped their record down to 0-2 with that loss, which was their ninth straight at home dating back to last season.
