Football Recap: Etna Takes a Loss + How To Watch

Etna extended their losing streak to four on Thursday, dropping them down to 1-8. They were outmatched by the Modoc Braves and fell 41-0. The home team had taken home the W every time these teams have met since August 27, 2021, but that streak is no more.

Carter Isbell threw for 27 yards on one of 19 attempts. On the ground, Oren Roman rushed for 35 yards.

As for Modoc, their victory ended a six-game drought on the road dating back to last season and puts them at 4-5. Considering they have won three games by more than 25 points this season, Thursday's blowout was nothing new.

Sutton Cockrell produced another solid effort rushing for 129 yards and two scores while picking up 7.2 yards per carry, and also picking up 41 receiving yards. He has become a key player for Modoc: the team is 2-1 when he posts at least 100 rushing yards, but 2-4 otherwise. Nash Benson was in the mix too, providing the Braves with two touchdowns.

Coming up, Etna will head out on the road to challenge Los Molinos at 7:30 p.m. on the 7th. As for Modoc, they will welcome Trinity at 7:30 p.m. on the 7th.
