Basketball Game Preview: Port St. Lucie Jaguars vs. Central Cobras

The Port St. Lucie Jaguars will challenge the Central Cobras at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Port St. Lucie is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 50 points per game this season.

On Monday, Port St. Lucie didn't have too much breathing room in their contest against Sebastian River, but they still walked away with a 49-45 victory.

Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Port St. Lucie to victory, but perhaps none more so than Daniel Alexis, who went 6-for-7 on his way to 19 points and seven rebounds. The dominant performance also gave Alexis a new career-high in field goal percentage (86%). Bryan Desgrottes was another key player, dropping a double-double with 13 points and 11 boards.

Meanwhile, Central came up short against Royal Palm Beach last Wednesday and fell 71-58.

Port St. Lucie will need to focus on slowing down Orion Ketchum, one of several Central players who made an impact when they last played. He posted 15 points and five rebounds. Another player making a difference was Jaden Bynes, who put up five points along with nine boards and five assists.

Central's loss dropped their record down to 1-1. As for Port St. Lucie, their win bumped their record up to 3-1.
