Recap: Kingdom Collegiate Academy vs. Oakridge Owls
Kingdom Collegiate Academy entered their tilt with the Oakridge Owls with two consecutive wins but they'll enter their next game with three. Kingdom Collegiate Academy managed a 47-43 victory over Oakridge on Thursday. The win was all the more spectacular given Kingdom Collegiate Academy's disadvantage in MaxPreps' Texas basketball rankings (they are ranked 713th, while Oakridge is ranked 281st).
Several Owls players turned in solid performances, despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Stone Thiel, who scored 12 points along with 6 rebounds. Thiel is on a roll when it comes to steals, as he's now stole two or more in the last five games he's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Rylan Williams, who scored 9 points along with 3 steals.
The victory got Kingdom Collegiate Academy back to even at 3-3. As for Oakridge, their loss dropped their record down to 5-3.
Kingdom Collegiate Academy will have some time to savor their win since their next game is a little ways off: they'll take on Prestonwood Christian North at 7:00 p.m. on December 15th. As for Oakridge, they will look to defend their home court on Monday against Fort Worth THESA at 7:30 p.m.
