Newton strolled into their game on Thursday with a perfect record and they left with the same. They were the clear victors by a 9-2 margin over the Robinson Maroons. The Eagles might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won 11 games by six runs or more this season.

Newton pushed their record up to 19-0 with the victory, which was their 18th straight at home dating back to last season. Those home wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 1.4 runs on average over those games. As for Robinson, they have been struggling recently as they've lost five of their last six matchups. That's put a noticeable dent in their 11-11 record this season.

Newton wasted no time getting back out on the field and has already played their next contest, a 17-1 victory against St. Teresa on the 10th. As for Robinson, they will challenge Lawrenceville at 4:30 p.m. on Monday.
