Softball Recap: Wilder Wildcats vs. Garden Valley Wolverines
Wilder extended their losing streak to four on Wednesday, dropping their season record down to 6-9 in the process. They were a single run away from ending the streak, but they lost an 8-7 heartbreaker at the hands of the Garden Valley Wolverines. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Wolverines this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 12-9 on Wednesday.

M. Lopez was cooking despite her team's loss, getting on base in two of her four plate appearances with two stolen bases, two runs, and one RBI. She has been hot, having posted at least one stolen base the last five times she's played. A. Manzanares also deserves some recognition as she brought in her first RBI of the season.

At the plate, the team relied heavily on Lacey Tucker, who went 1-for-3 with three stolen bases, three runs, and two doubles. That's the most doubles she has posted since April 2nd. Another player making a difference was Emma Shannahan, who went 3-for-4 with three stolen bases and one run.
