Basketball Game Preview: Tri-Valley Scotties vs. Maysville Panthers

The Tri-Valley Scotties will venture away from home to square off against the Maysville Panthers at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Both teams are coming into the matchup red-hot, with Tri-Valley sitting on nine straight victories and Maysville on seven.

On Friday, Tri-Valley earned a 64-51 win over Philo. Given the Scotties' advantage in MaxPreps' Ohio basketball rankings (they are ranked 69th, while the Electrics are ranked 512th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Meanwhile, Maysville humbled Meadowbrook with a 64-26 victory. The Panthers have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won 12 games by 21 points or more this season.

Maysville's victory was their seventh straight at home, which pushed their record up to 17-2. They've dominated over that stretch too, winning by an average of 23.6 points. As for Tri-Valley, their win bumped their record up to 16-4.

Tri-Valley strolled past Maysville in their previous matchup back in January by a score of 65-48. The rematch might be a little tougher for Tri-Valley since the team won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
