Basketball Recap: Fort Scott Takes a Loss

Despite a phenomenal run in the regular season, Fort Scott couldn't carry that success into this playoff game. They fell just short of the Labette County Grizzlies by a score of 42-40 on Saturday. The Tigers were not able to repeat the success they had when they faced the Grizzlies earlier this season, when they won 51-40.

Labette County got their win on the backs of several key players, but it was Jayden Davis out in front who went 5-for-10 to rack up 11 points and seven rebounds. Another player making a difference was Madison Bevans, who posted three points and five boards.

Fort Scott's defeat dropped their record down to 17-5. As for Labette County, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 18-4.

Fort Scott does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Labette County, they will square off against Buhler at 4:00 p.m. on Thursday.
