Football Recap: Will Johnson and Jericho Lake Secure Win for Siuslaw + How To Watch

Siuslaw extended their winning streak to three on Friday, bumping them up to 4-2. They came within four points of losing the streak, but they secured a 46-42 W against the Douglas Trojans. The score was all tied up 22-22 at the break, but the Vikings were the better team in the second half.

Siuslaw was led to victory by Jericho Lake and Will Johnson. Lake threw for 152 yards and three TDs on only 14 passes, while Johnson gained 132 total yards. Lake's passing game has become a key predictor of the Vikings' success: the team is undefeated when his passer rating is 100 or higher, but only 1-2 otherwise.

As for Douglas, they have traveled a rocky road recently, having lost three of their last four games. That's put a noticeable dent in their 2-4 record this season. On the bright side, the 42- point effort marked their highest-scoring contest to date.

Despite the loss, Douglas still got an impressive performance from Ryder Sawyer, who threw for 259 yards and five touchdowns while picking up 10.8 yards per attempt, and also rushed for 64 yards. Jaden Burkhart was another key player, rushing for 155 yards and one score.
