Softball Recap: Make It Three in a Row for Ausable Valley

AuSable Valley had already won two in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 10.5 runs) and they went ahead and made it three on Tuesday. They walked away with an 11-7 victory over the Northern Adirondack Bobcats. That's the second time they've managed to beat them this season, as they also won 13-4 two weeks ago.

Kylie Akey was incredible, going 3-for-4 with three RBI, two runs, and one stolen base. She is on a roll when it comes to stolen bases, as she's now snagged at least one in each of the last four games she's played. Julia Bailey was another key player, going 2-for-4 with two stolen bases, two runs, and one RBI.

They weren't the only ones making solid contact: AuSable Valley kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 16 hits. They are a perfect 6-0 when they post 11 or more hits.

AuSable Valley's win bumped their record up to 7-5. As for Northern Adirondack, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 2-11.

Coincidentally, AuSable Valley and Northern Adirondack will both be playing Saranac Lake the next time they take the field. The Patriots will host the Red Storm at 4:30 p.m. on Wednesday, while the Bobcats will host them at 4:30 p.m. on Monday.
