Having just played yesterday, the Clay County Panthers will get right back to it and host the Doddridge County Bulldogs at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Both come into the contest bolstered by wins in their previous matches.

Clay County took a loss when they played away from home on Tuesday, but their home fans gave them all the motivation they needed on Thursday. They walked away with a 52-45 victory over Roane County.

Meanwhile, Doddridge County put another one in the bag on Tuesday to keep their perfect season alive. They strolled past South Harrison with points to spare, taking the game 64-47.

Doddridge County's win came from a few key players Clay County will need to keep an eye on. One of the most notable was Jaden Solomon, who dropped a double-double on 15 points and ten boards. What's more, he also racked up four blocks, the most he's had since back in February of 2024. Landon Thomas was another key player, going 6 of 11 on his way to 12 points and seven rebounds.

Doddridge County smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 13 offensive boards. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now pulled down at least eight offensive rebounds in five consecutive games.

Doddridge County's win was their fifth straight on the road dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 7-0. As for Clay County, their victory bumped their record up to 2-5.
