Volleyball Recap: San Fernando Takes a Loss

San Fernando was not able to break out of their rough patch on Wednesday as the team picked up their third straight loss. They lost 3-0 to the Reseda Regents. The Tigers were not able to make up for their defeat to the Regents from their previous meeting back in April of 2024.

While San Fernando was not able to make it on the board, they still kept things close, especially in the third set. The final score came out to 25-19, 25-9, 25-23.

Their offense was headlined by Jose Villalobos and Victor Marin, who picked up four kills apiece. They got some help from Mathew Zapien and his 15 assists. Finally, Guillermo Carbajal kept San Fernando's defense grounded, leading the team with six blocks.

San Fernando's loss dropped their record down to 1-3. As for Reseda, the victory (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 6-2.

San Fernando didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 3-0 defeat against Castaic on the 13th. As for Reseda, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next game, a 3-0 win against Canoga Park on the 17th.
