Volleyball Recap: Avery Park and Emily Boomstra Secure Win for Hockaday

After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Rockwall, Hockaday was happy to have turned things around on Tuesday. Everything went their way against the Liberty Christian Warriors as they made off with a 3-0 victory. That three set margin sets a new team best for the Daisies this season.

Hockaday never let Liberty Christian on the board, but things got pretty close in the first set. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-23, 25-6, 25-16.

Hockaday was led to victory by Emily Boomstra and Avery Park. Boomstra had 14 digs, while Park had nine assists and two aces. That's the most aces Park has posted over her last seven matches. Callie Brooks also deserves some recognition as she posted her first assists of the season.

Hockaday's win was their fifth straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 3-6. As for Liberty Christian, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 7-5.

Coming up, Hockaday will head out on the road to take on Ursuline Academy at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Liberty Christian, they will be taking part in a tournament against Wylie Prep Academy at 4:00 p.m. on Thursday.
