League recap: Baird throws longest pass in league this season for Neodesha

Justice Baird and Tycen Hanna provided fans with a highlight when they connected against Fredonia. The connection was good for 75 yards, the longest such play in Tri-Valley this season.

Caney Valley led the league in scoring this week after putting up 58 points on Eureka.

Neodesha's offense was tough to stop this week, as it produced the league's top passer, rusher and receiver. Baird threw for 130 and three touchdowns and Hanna had 75 yards receiving. On the ground Jake Crawford chipped in 120 yards. Tanner Osterbuhr helped Neodesha's passing attack out by catching three balls for 55 yards.

Neodesha's offense has been unstoppable this season and the Blue Streaks feature the season leaders in passing, rushing and receiving yards. Baird has thrown for 411 yards and four touchdowns this season, while Hanna has four catches for 161 yards. Crawford leads the league in rushing with 562 yards.

A big matchup in Tri-Valley this week will be when the Blue Streaks take on Burlington. Neodesha is in first place, while the Wildcats are in fourth place.

The top two defenses in the league will face off this season when the Bullpups take on Humboldt. Caney Valley has allowed 52 points this season, while the Cubs have given up 61.

Criss Davis's team made the biggest jump in the national rankings this week, rising to 3,661 from 3,969. The improvement came about via a 58-12 victory over the Tornadoes last week.
