Recap: Wabash Apaches vs. Lewis Cass Kings

The Wabash Apaches's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Wednesday after their third straight loss. They took a hard 44-29 fall against Lewis Cass. While losing is never fun, Wabash can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Indiana basketball rankings (they are ranked 226th, while Lewis Cass is ranked 73rd).

When it comes to explaining why Wabash lost, one person who can't be blamed is Kierra Wilson. Despite the final result, she scored 13 points along with six rebounds and three steals.

Wabash bumped their record down to 9-11 with that loss, which was their third straight at home. That rough patch could be blamed on the team's offensive performance across that stretch, as they only averaged 26.7 points per game. As for Lewis Cass, the victory (which was their fifth in a row) raised their record to 16-2.

Wabash will look to defend their home court on Saturday against North Miami at 7:45 p.m. Lewis Cass will be staying on the road on Saturday to face off against Southwood at 7:45 p.m. on January 20th. Hopefully Southwood focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 25 last Thursday.
