Softball Recap: Yerba Buena Aztec Warriors vs. Gunderson Grizzlies

Friday just wasn't the day for Yerba Buena's offense. They fell victim to a rough 18-0 loss at the hands of the Gunderson Grizzlies on Friday. The defeat unfortunately continues a disappointing trend for Yerba Buena in their matchups with Gunderson: they've now lost seven in a row.

For Gunderson's part, Alanna Martinez Poklong made a splash no matter where she played. She looked comfortable on the mound, not allowing a single earned run and only one hit while striking out ten over four innings pitched. Martinez Poklong has been nothing but reliable: she hasn't tossed less than five strikeouts every time she's pitched this season. Martinez Poklong was also stellar in the batter's box, scoring four runs while going 3-for-4.
