Karr extended the longest winning streak in 4A District 9 this week by beating Cox, 26-7. The victory was the fifth in a row for the Cougars.
O. Perry Walker took down McDonogh 35 36-0 last week, the largest margin of any game.
Karr's offense has been unstoppable this season and the Cougars feature the season leaders in passing, rushing and receiving yards. Kerry Taylor has thrown for 53 yards this season, while Devante Noil has one catch for 29 yards. Noil leads the league in rushing with 236 yards.
A big matchup in the league this week will be when Cox takes on the Chargers. As it stands, Willie Brooks' team is in third, while O. Perry Walker is in first.
Archbishop Shaw made the biggest jump in the national rankings this week, rising to 4,992 from 5,682. The improvement was the result of 21-10 victory over Belle Chasse last week.
