Volleyball Game Preview: Greater Johnstown Trojans vs. Somerset Eagles + How To Watch

Greater Johnstown hasn't had much luck against Somerset recently, but that could start to change on Tuesday. The Trojans will square off against the Eagles at 6:00 p.m.

Greater Johnstown came up short against Clearfield on Wednesday, falling 3-0.

Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-10, 25-7, 25-10.

Meanwhile, it was a Battle of the Birds when Somerset faced off against Tyrone on Thursday. The Eagles walked away with a 3-1 win over the Golden Eagles.

Somerset had a slow start but a hot finish: after dropping the first set, they turned around to win the next three. The final score came out to 23-25, 25-13, 25-19, 25-12.

Somerset's win came from a few key players Greater Johnstown will need to keep an eye on. One of the most notable was Peyton Kaltenbaugh, who had eight digs and one assist.

Somerset is on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four matches. That somehow still isn't as good as their 20-5-1 record this season. As for Greater Johnstown, their defeat dropped their record down to 0-17.

Greater Johnstown suffered a grim 3-0 defeat to Somerset in their previous meeting back in September of 2024.
