Soccer Recap: Summerville Comes Up Short

Summerville fought the good fight in their overtime game against Academic Magnet on Thursday but wound up with a less-than-desirable result. They fell just short of the Academic Magnet Raptors by a score of 2-1. The Green Wave were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Raptors apparently hadn't forgotten their loss the last time these teams played back in March of 2024.

Summerville now has a losing record of 2-3-1. As for Academic Magnet, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 3-2.

Coming up, Summerville will welcome Berkeley at 7:00 p.m. on March 13th. Berkeley will roll in looking for their fifth straight win, something Summerville surely won't give up without a fight. As for Academic Magnet, they didn't take long to hit the pitch again: they've already played their next matchup, a 5-1 victory against Goose Creek on the 7th.
