Basketball Recap: East Rochester Comes Up Short

East Rochester has been a dominant force so far, but they're in the middle of a mini-slump at the moment. The game between them and the Rich Township Raptors didn't end well, with the East Rochester Bombers falling 70-52. While losing is never fun, the Bombers can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' basketball rankings in their respective home states (they are ranked 153rd in New York, while the Raptors are ranked 21st in Illinois).

Al Brooks was his usual excellent self, dropping a double-double on 17 points and ten boards for Rich Township. Brooks has been hot recently, having posted eight or more boards the last four times he's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Jayden Williams, who posted 11 points and four steals.

East Rochester's loss dropped their record down to 7-2. As for Rich Township, the win (which was their seventh in a row) raised their record to 10-4.

East Rochester didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next match, a 77-43 victory against Bloomfield on the 11th. As for Rich Township, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next contest, a 79-46 win against Erie on the 11th.
