Softball Recap: Allendale Extends Winning Streak to Three

Allendale waltzed into their match on Tuesday with two straight wins... but they left with three. They walked away with a 14-9 victory over the Montague Wildcats.

Allendale let Kenedie Curtis and Ileigh Torp run wild. Curtis went 4-for-5 with three stolen bases, five runs, and two RBI, while Torp went 4-for-5 with three runs, four RBI, and one stolen base. That's the most runs Torp has posted since back in April. Another player making a difference was Tessa Gunter, who went 3-for-5 with three RBI and one run.

They weren't the only ones making solid contact: Allendale kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 16 hits. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now got at least nine hits in five consecutive contests.

The win got Allendale back to even at 13-13. As for Montague, they dropped their record down to 11-19 with the loss, which was their fourth straight on the road.

Allendale will have a chance to go back-to-back against the Wildcats: the pair will be back at it again later today.
