Volleyball Game Preview: Mountain Crest Mustangs vs. Stansbury Stallions

The Mountain Crest Mustangs will head out to square off against the Stansbury Stallions at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday. Mountain Crest is coming into the contest hot, having won their last three games.

Mountain Crest will bounce into Thursday's matchup after beating Sky View, who they had gone 1-8 against in their nine prior meetings. The Mustangs came out on top against the Bobcats by a score of 3-1 on Tuesday. Give some credit to the fans of both teams: the last six times they've met, the home team has come away the winner.

The win didn't come easy: Sky View scored at least 20 points in every set. The final score came out to 25-20, 25-23, 16-25, 25-20.

Meanwhile, Stansbury unfortunately witnessed the end of their four-match winning streak on Tuesday. They lost 3-0 to Ridgeline. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest loss the Stallions have suffered since September 9th.

While Stansbury was not able to make it on the board, they still kept things close, especially in the third set. The match finished with set scores of 25-16, 25-16, 25-23.

Stansbury's defeat dropped their record down to 8-13. As for Mountain Crest, their victory bumped their record up to 14-10.

Everything went Mountain Crest's way against Stansbury when the teams last played back in September, as Mountain Crest made off with a 3-0 win. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Mustangs since the squad won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
