Basketball Recap: Bloomfield Comes Up Short

Bloomfield lost against North Knox back in November of 2024 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Saturday. The Cardinals took a blow against the Warriors, falling 68-13. The game marked the Cardinals' lowest-scoring matchup so far this season.

Lexi Primus was her usual excellent self, shooting 70% from the field en route to 17 points in addition to eight steals and five assists for North Knox. Primus is crushing it when it comes to points: she's scored at least 15 every time she's taken the court this season. Baylee McClure was another key player, putting up 12 points along with seven rebounds and five assists.

Bloomfield has been struggling recently as they've lost three of their last four contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 2-4 record this season. As for North Knox, they pushed their record up to 6-0 with the victory, which was their seventh straight on the road dating back to last season.

Coming up, Bloomfield will square off against Shakamak at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. This will be the Cardinals' first chance to prove their worth in the conference. As for North Knox, they will challenge Evansville Christian at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The Warriors will need to watch out since the Eagles have now posted at least 55 points in their last three matchups.
