Basketball Recap: Carlisle Comes Up Short

Carlisle was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their third straight loss. They took a 69-61 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Gilbert Tigers. Despite running the score up even higher than they did in their prior game last Tuesday (60), the Wildcats still had to take the loss.

Carlisle's defeat dropped their record down to 2-4. As for Gilbert, their win bumped their record up to 6-1.

Carlisle will get a bit of extra time to process the loss as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on North Polk at 7:30 p.m. on January 3, 2025. Gilbert will also get a bit of a break before their next matchup: they'll face off against Madrid at 10:00 a.m. on December 31st. Madrid knows how to get points on the board -- the team has finished with 55 points or more in their past eight contests -- so hopefully Gilbert likes a good challenge.
