Soccer Recap: St. Edward's Takes a Loss

Friday just wasn't the day for St. Edward's offense. They came up short against the Master's Academy Patriots on Friday, falling 4-0. While losing is never fun, the Pirates can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Florida soccer rankings (they are ranked 343rd, while the Patriots are ranked 133rd).

St. Edward's now has a losing record at 4-5. As for Master's Academy, the win (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 11-1.

St. Edward's will get a bit of extra time to process the defeat as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on Sebastian River at 6:00 p.m. on January 7, 2025. As for Master's Academy, they will be home for the holidays to greet Pine at 3:30 p.m. on Thursday. Master's Academy knows how to get goals on the board -- the team has finished with four goals or more in their past three matches -- so hopefully Pine likes a good challenge.
