Soccer Game Preview: Farragut vs. Bearden

Farragut is 2-8 against Bearden since May of 2017 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit on Friday. The Admirals will host the Bulldogs at 7:00 p.m. Farragut's last five games have been decided by no more than a goal, so don't be surprised if it's a close one.

Farragut is coming in fresh off a high-stakes matchup with another one of Tennessee's top teams: Hardin Valley Academy, who was ranked tenth at the time (Farragut was ranked 25th). The Admirals and the Hawks finished up their contest with a 1-1 draw on Saturday.

Meanwhile, Bearden had already won three in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 5.7 goals) and they went ahead and made it four on Tuesday. They never let the Governors get on the board and left with a 4-0 victory. Bearden might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won seven matchups by four goals or more this season.

Bearden pushed their record up to 13-1 with the win, which was their fourth straight at home. Those home victories came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they scored 22 goals over those four games. Farragut's draw makes their record 8-3-2 this season.
