Kerman dropped their record down to 15-9-1 on Thursday, which also ended the team's five-game streak of wins. They fell 6-1 to the Kingsburg Vikings. The Lions were not able to repeat the success they had when they faced the Vikings earlier this season, when they won 6-5.

Kerman saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Giovanni Gastelum, who went 2-for-3 with one triple and one run.

As for Kingsburg, their win was their third straight at home, which pushed their record up to 18-9. The home victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 2.0 runs on average over those games.

On Kingsburg's side, Gavin Ekizian spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: he surrendered only one earned run on four hits and racked up 13 Ks. Ekizian has been nothing but reliable: he hasn't given up more than one earned run in three consecutive appearances.

On the hitting side, JT Sanchez was excellent, going 1-for-3 with two RBI, one run, and one double. Eric Garcia was another key player, going 3-for-4 with one run.

Kerman does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Kingsburg, they will square off against Fowler at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday. The Redcats' pitching crew has only allowed 1.8 runs per game this season, so the Vikings' hitters will have their work cut out for them.
