Volleyball Game Preview: Hoover Patriots vs. Reedley Pirates

The Hoover Patriots will take on the Reedley Pirates in a tournament on Friday. Hoover will be strutting in after a victory while Reedley will be coming in after a defeat.

Last Tuesday, Hoover was able to grind out a solid win over Washington Union, taking the game 3-1. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Patriots.

Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-16, 25-18, 24-26, 25-19.

Meanwhile, Reedley came up short against Central on Thursday and fell 3-1. The loss continues a trend for the Pirates in their meetings with the Grizzlies: they've now lost four in a row.

The match finished with set scores of 25-19, 18-25, 25-20, 25-16.

Reedley's defeat dropped their record down to 5-3. As for Hoover, they pushed their record up to 7-11 with the victory, which was their third straight at home.

Hoover couldn't quite get it done against Reedley in their previous meeting back in February as they fell 3-1. Can Hoover avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
