Soccer Recap: Willow Canyon Comes Up Short

Willow Canyon was not able to break out of their rough patch on Wednesday as the team picked up their third straight loss. They lost 4-0 to the Sunrise Mountain Mustangs. While losing is never fun, the Wildcats can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Arizona soccer rankings (they are ranked 126th, while the Mustangs are ranked ninth).

Willow Canyon's defeat dropped their record down to 2-8. As for Sunrise Mountain, they pushed their record up to 15-2-1 with the victory, which was their third straight at home.

Willow Canyon will challenge Lake Havasu at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Sunrise Mountain, they will face off against Ironwood at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Ironwood will roll in looking for their fifth straight win, something Sunrise Mountain surely won't give up without a fight.
