Soccer Recap: Riverdale Comes Up Short

Riverdale lost against Oakland back in April of 2024, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Friday. Riverdale fell just short of Oakland by a score of 2-1. Riverdale's defeat continues a trend for the team, making it three in a row.

Their goal came courtesy of Andy Lazo, who's now up to four this season.

Riverdale's loss dropped their record down to 5-3. As for Oakland, their victory was their third straight at home, which pushed their record up to 3-3-1.

Riverdale wasted no time getting back out on the pitch and has already played their next game, a 2-1 win against Lebanon on the 25th. As for Oakland, they also didn't take long to hit the pitch again: they've already played their next match, a 3-2 defeat against Rockvale on the 25th.
