Indian Springs is 6-1 against Spring Mountain since March of 2016 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Tuesday. The Thunderbirds will head out on the road to take on the Eagles at 12:00 p.m. Indian Springs is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 8.3 runs per game this season.

Indian Springs is probably headed into the matchup with a chip on their shoulder considering Lake Mead Christian Academy just ended the team's five-game winning streak on Tuesday. They took a 6-3 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Eagles.

Jacob Gourley was huge no matter where he played even without the win. He looked comfortable on the mound, striking out eight batters over five innings while giving up three earned runs off four hits. He has been nothing but reliable: he hasn't tossed less than eight strikeouts in four consecutive appearances. He was also big at the plate, going 2-for-4 with three stolen bases, two runs, and one double.

Gourley wasn't the only one making solid contact as four players wound up with at least one hit. One of them was Adam Groeblinghoff, who went 1-for-3 with two stolen bases and one run. Groeblinghoff has been hot recently, having posted at least one stolen base the last three times he's played.

Meanwhile, Tuesday just wasn't the day for Spring Mountain's offense. They lost 22-0 to Tonopah on Tuesday. The loss continues a trend for the Eagles in their meetings with the Muckers: they've now lost four in a row.

Indian Springs' record now sits at 13-5. As for Spring Mountain, their record is now 6-9.

Indian Springs took their victory against Spring Mountain in their previous matchup back in March of 2024 by a conclusive 15-1 score. Will the Thunderbirds repeat their success, or do the Eagles have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
