Soccer Game Preview: Magnolia West vs. Tomball Memorial

Magnolia West is 0-8 against Tomball Memorial since February of 2015 but things could change on Friday. The Magnolia West Mustangs will square off against the Tomball Memorial Wildcats at 7:15 p.m. Magnolia West has given up an average of 3.9 goals per game this season, so hopefully the team got some defensive drills in this week.

Magnolia West is headed into Friday's game looking for a big change in momentum after dropping their fourth straight game on Tuesday. They came up short against Klein Oak, falling 6-0. While losing is never fun, the Mustangs can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Texas soccer rankings (they are ranked 396th, while the Panthers are ranked 90th).

Meanwhile, after some red-hot attacks on offense in their last three matchups, Tomball Memorial finally came back down to earth on Tuesday. They fell just short of Tomball by a score of 1-0. The Wildcats' loss signaled the end of their three-game winning streak.

Magnolia West's defeat dropped their record down to 4-12. As for Tomball Memorial, the loss was their first on the road , dropping their record down to 11-2.

Magnolia West suffered a grim 5-1 defeat to Tomball Memorial in their previous matchup back in February. Can Magnolia West avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
