Newark Catholic had already proven themselves in the regular season and they didn't miss a beat now that it's playoff time. They came out on top in a nail-biter against the Calvert Senecas on Thursday, sneaking past 6-4. Winning may never get old, but the Green Wave sure are getting used to it with their 13th in a row.

Newark Catholic's victory was their seventh straight at home, which pushed their record up to 22-9. Those home wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 1.6 runs on average over those games. As for Calvert, they moved to 27-4 with that loss, which also ended their 15-game winning streak.

As of now, neither Newark Catholic nor the Senecas have any future games scheduled.
