Recap: St. Paul Wildcats vs. Boone Central Cardinals

The St. Paul Wildcats fell victim to the Boone Central Cardinals''s stalwart defense on Thursday and couldn't make it onto the board. They were dealt a 56-0 loss at the hands of the Cardinals. While losing is never fun, St. Paul can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Nebraska football rankings (they are ranked 83rd, while Boone Central is ranked third).

Alex Meinecke threw for 73 yards on six of 12 attempts. Mason Majerus was his top target, picking up 59 receiving yards and no touchdowns.

PARKER BORER had an outrageously good game for Boone Central as he rushed for 190 yards and two touchdowns while picking up 10.6 yards per carry. BORER is on a roll when it comes to rushing yards, as he's now rushed for 100 or more in the last five games he's played. JAMES FOGLEMAN was another key contributor, rushing for 36 yards and three touchdowns.

This is the second loss in a row for St. Paul and nudges their season record down to 2-7. Those losses could be blamed on the team's offensive performance across that stretch, as they only averaged 3.5 points per game. As for Boone Central, the victory for they keeps them at an undefeated 9-0.

St. Paul does not have any more games scheduled as of now. Boone Central is also done with their season.
