Softball Recap: Denbigh Find Success

Denbigh hadn't done well against Woodside recently (they were 2-7 in their previous nine matchups), but they didn't let the past get in their way on Tuesday. The Patriots came out on top against the Wolverines by a score of 11-7. Considering the Patriots' hitters had been struggling lately, the high-scoring outing was a much-needed turnaround.

Alieyah Bullock was incredible, going 2-for-3 with one home run, two stolen bases, and three runs. That's the most stolen bases she has posted since back in April. The team also got some help courtesy of Kate Stephanie Fallejo, who went 1-for-3 with one home run, three runs, and three RBI.

They weren't the only ones working in the home run department: Denbigh lost a few balls and finished the game with two home runs. That's the most home runs they've managed all season.

The win made it two in a row for Denbigh and bumps their season record up to 6-13. The victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered a grand total of 7 runs in those games. As for Woodside, they dropped their record down to 6-10-1 with the loss, which was their third straight at home.

Coming up, Denbigh will host Norview at 4:30 p.m. on Wednesday. As for Woodside, they will head out on the road to challenge Heritage at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
