Basketball Recap: Nicholas County Comes Up Short

Nicholas County suffered their closest loss since January 17th on Monday. They fell just short of the Augusta Panthers by a score of 79-77. Despite running the score up even higher than they did in their prior game last Saturday (64), the Bluejackets still had to take the loss.

Nicholas County's defeat dropped their record down to 17-9. As for Augusta, they have been performing well recently as they've won four of their last five contests, which provided a nice bump to their 17-8 record this season.

Coming up, Nicholas County and Bourbon County will face off at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday without much rest, having both just played. We've got a battle between Panthers coming up. Augusta will need to watch out since Fleming County has now posted at least 55 points in their last eight matches.
